I am watching 2012 Presidential Debate
I’ve still been fundamentally undecided until tonight. I just got to go with Obama because of my beliefs in gay and trans rights and my pro-choice stance. Nothing even to do with that some things Romney said I just rubbed me the wrong way. One thing in particular, he said that if there is an illegal child here he/she should have the choice to stay in the U.S.A. by a way of military service or something. So a child, who has nothing to do with the choices he/she’s parents made, should fight for a country he/she aren’t even a part of yet and possibly die for the country for the right of citizenship to it? Does that make any sense at all.

The Girl Who Just Wants To Learn of the Day: Meet Malala Yousafzai, a 14-year-old Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban this week on her way home from school —  ”A bullet struck her head, but her brain is safe,” one of her doctors reported.
Why is the Taliban targeting her? Because she openly campaigns online and in her country for education for girls.
A Taliban spokesman says that if she survives, they’ll come for her again:
She was pro-West, she was speaking against the Taliban and she was calling President Obama her idol. She was young but she was promoting Western culture.

Everyone needs to know about this young lady. Malala Yousafzari went to school against the Taliban’s wishes and actively spoke up about how women should be entitled to the right of education, the right that we sometimes take for granted her
e in the United States. This young lady knew she was making herself a powerful enemy, but thought speaking up about education and continuing her own was more important. Her bravery is astounding to me. On 9 October 2012, Yousafzai was shot in the head and neck in an assassination attempt by Taliban gunmen while returning home on a school bus. She remains unconscious and in critical condition. She’s only 14 years old. Please just keep her in your thoughts.

Vice Presidential Debate malarkey

Okay, overall very interesting debate.

I like Joe Biden much more than Paul Ryan, but do wish he would of kept his interruptions and facial expressions in check at times. I do love seeing his sheepish grin, but at times it seemed inappropriate.

I think Joe Biden was more successful with his debate, but I appreciated how well- mannered Paul Ryan was.

Martha Raddatz is my new hero and should moderate every debate.

I think Martha was a little more lenient on Joe Biden, but not by much and she actively enforced both candidates.

I wish the issue of gay marriage would have been brought up and am actually really disappointed it wasn’t.

I’m glad that abortion was brought up, but I still wanted more focus on women’s rights.

Lastly, Martha Raddatz 2016?!

Didn’t the athletes that were independent look like they were the having the best time?  I had so many questions about who the independent athletes were and how and why one would become an independent athlete until the article below answered many of my questions.

When you’re feelin’ sad and low
We will take you where you gotta go
Smiling dancing everything is free
All you need is positivity
Colors of the world
Spice up your life
Every boy and every girl
Spice up your life
People of the world
Spice up your life, aahhSlam me to the left
If you’re havin’ a good time
Shake it to the right
If you know that you feel fine

When you’re feelin’ sad and low

We will take you where you gotta go

Smiling dancing everything is free

All you need is positivity

Colors of the world

Spice up your life

Every boy and every girl

Spice up your life

People of the world

Spice up your life, aahh
Slam me to the left

If you’re havin’ a good time

Shake it to the right

If you know that you feel fine

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

This has always been and will always be my favorite song.
